Software engineering service

Web applications engineered to carry real operational load.

We design and build web applications, internal tools, and portals with modern, maintainable stacks — ready for AI features, integrations, and the people who rely on them every day.

The problem

Spreadsheets and disconnected tools only scale so far.

Many businesses run critical processes on spreadsheets, email, and tools that were never designed to work together. At some point, a purpose-built application becomes the cheaper option.

What we typically hear

  • Critical workflows depend on shared spreadsheets.
  • Customers and partners have no self-service portal.
  • Legacy applications are slow, fragile, and hard to change.
  • Data is duplicated across tools with no single source of truth.
  • Adding AI is impossible because the underlying software is not ready.

What we build

What we build

Internal tools

Admin panels, dashboards, and workflow apps tailored to how your team operates.

Customer portals

Secure self-service for clients to view, submit, and track their information.

Marketing and content sites

Fast, accessible, search-friendly sites with manageable content.

APIs and back ends

Well-documented services that other systems and AI agents can rely on.

Data-heavy applications

Search, filtering, reporting, and visualisation over large datasets.

Modernisation

Incremental replacement of legacy systems without a risky big-bang rewrite.

Typical use cases

Where this work pays off

Operations platform

01

Replace a set of spreadsheets with an application that enforces the process.

Client portal

02

Give customers secure access to documents, status, and requests.

Booking and scheduling

03

Custom scheduling that fits rules generic tools cannot express.

Admin and reporting

04

A single view across data currently scattered in several tools.

Architecture

Application architecture we typically deliver

  1. 1

    Interface

    Responsive, accessible front end.

  2. 2

    API

    Typed endpoints with authorization.

  3. 3

    Services

    Business logic and integrations.

  4. 4

    Data

    Relational database with audit trails.

  5. 5Human

    Admin

    Controls for staff oversight.

Layered so that AI capabilities can be added without re-architecting.

Technology considerations

Decisions we make with you

Technology choices follow from the workflow, data, and constraints — not the other way around.

Front end

React and Next.js with TypeScript for maintainable, fast interfaces.

Back end

Node.js and Python services, chosen by workload and team familiarity.

Data

PostgreSQL as a default, with Supabase or managed cloud databases where they fit.

Hosting

Vercel, AWS, or your existing cloud, with infrastructure defined as code where practical.

Delivery

How the engagement runs

  1. 01

    Discovery

Users, workflows, data, and integration requirements.

  2. 02

    Design

UX flows, interface design, and technical architecture.

  3. 03

    Iterative build

Short sprints with working software reviewed each cycle.

  4. 04

    QA and launch

Testing, performance checks, and a controlled release.

  5. 05

    Support

    Maintenance, monitoring, and continued improvement.

Security & governance

Control is designed in, not added later.

Every system we deliver includes the controls below as a baseline. Specific compliance requirements are scoped with your team.

  • Role-based access control
  • Audit logs for sensitive operations
  • Dependency and vulnerability scanning
  • Environment separation and protected production deploys
  • Backups and documented recovery procedures

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

01Do you only build AI products?

No. We build complete web applications and back ends. Many of them include AI features, but the engineering standards are the same either way.

02Can you work with our existing codebase?

Yes. We often extend or modernise existing applications. We start with a code and architecture review to understand what to keep and what to change.

03Who owns the code?

Ownership is set in contract; our standard approach is that clients own the code we write for them, in repositories they control.

Next step

Bring us the process your team is tired of doing manually.

A strategy call is a working conversation about one workflow: what it involves today, what could be automated, and what a first build would look like.
